Hey y'all! Welcome back to the new website and thanks for stoppin' in!
The soundtrack for the upcoming feature film The Last Ride is officially slated to be a Curb Records release! For those of you who aren't up to speed, Tony co-wrote and sang the title track to the movie which stars Henry Thomas as Luke the Drifter. There are rumors that Tony's brand new CD Once Again might be signed as part of a new label co-venture featuring the traditional country music on The Last Ride soundtrack, but this information can't be confirmed at present.
The Tony Ramey staff want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. 2012 will be an exciting year for all of us! Stay tuned for updates and information on shows coming soon...

I can't recreate the experience in words, but the one that comes to mind as I write about opening for Glen Campbell is "spiritual." It was a pleasure going back to my home town to play for my friends and family as always, but getting to open for such a legend was icing on the cake. Thanks to the Marshall Artist Series for inviting me up for the event (and Penny I'm still trying to track down whoever took the photo of me and Glen). I'll keep everybody posted via the tour page about the upcoming shows!

What an honor it was to play on the Louisianna Hayride where so many legendary artists got their start. I met so many wonderful folks who love country music. Thank you all for your support in buying my records out there in Shreveport. I do appreciate you spending your hard-earned money on my music. It makes me want to work harder in writing songs that you can relate to and enjoy for years to come. Thanks go to Maggie Warwick for her support and hospitality, and to Benjy Gaither for hanging up there with me on that magical stage at the Strand Theater. Please stay in touch and visit me as often as you can here and on facebook to keep up with the goings on. The movie that has been long waited for will come out this Friday in select theaters across the country. Please go out and fill the seats if you can. I appreciate all the support you can give. It's a great work of art. I don't think you'll be disappointed. And don't forget to order the soundtrack from Curb recrds when it comes out along with my album, which is available right here on the website or on CDbaby and Itunes. Thanks again y'all for stoppin by and checkin in on me. Until I see you on the road, adios!

I guess I dont have to tell y'all how busy I've been with music. The time that's gone by since my last entry is a result. Between the film festivals (for The Last Ride ), writing and singing new songs for my upcoming record, and the shows, I haven't had time to turn around. It's all good, though. Im being blessed daily with people and music. I've got some new shows booked in West Virginia, Kentucky, and one in Ohio at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. I wonder if I'll be the only guy ever to sing such a stone-bone country tune in those hollowed Rocker halls.
I hope everyone is having a great summer out there in music land. For those of you who haven't had a chance, please stop by and say "hello" on my music page (www.facebook.com/tonyrameymusic) if you'd "like" some cool music. I'm aiming for the middle of August to get my record to press, but I can't make any promises. Lordy don't the wheels turn slow!!! Anyway, please post comments, say "hi" or just drop in from time to time to keep up with what's happening. I appreciate all of you for hangin' in there with me.

What a crazy (in a good way) year it's been already! I'm working on some exciting projects with my new company that you'll soon be hearing a lot more about. Deb and I are trying to get "stuff" in order around the house for a move to Texas. It'll be my home base, though I'll be travelling back and forth to Nashville quite a bit. I'm hoping to see some show dates come around very soon. I don't like to have them posted until they're written in stone. I've welcomed Matt Lindsay and Scott Paschall aboard in just the last week. They'll be managing my catalog and exploiting my songs for me. I'm excited to work with such great guys. The new year is shaping up nicely. I feel blessed to be a part of such a great family, both at home and at work!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope all my friends, family, and music friends and family have a great time this year as they gather 'round the old oven bird. I'm thankful for my own familty, friends, and for you folks out there who keep listenin' to my songs, downloading, and supporting my music. I wish you all the best this Thanksgiving and hope you come back for some updates soon. I just came out of the studio this past Friday, so I should have more tunes for you next week. On a personal note, my wife Debbie and I will be trying our hand at baking the Turkey this year. It sounds crazy, but between all the the family and friends who invite us out for dinner every Thanksgiving, this'll be the first time we've actually cooked for ourselves and our kids. We decided to stick close to home because of work and school, and the rest of our families are doing the same. We're kind of excited since we'll have some time to just relax and enjoy each other. I told Deb I'd be glad to be in charge of the turkey basting; I'm getting worried for Savannah and Logan, but Deb's always been a fairly good cook, so I'll be leanin' on her expertise of course. Have a great holiday!!!
Peace and Prayers,
Tony

Biography
Tony will tell you jokingly that he "came out of the hollers of West Virginia when [he] was twenty-five." Most of his family, including his father, his close and distant cousins, and practically all of his aunts and uncles play instruments and sing. Family reunions always included gospel family groups, bluegrass bands, and pickers from all over West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio--real "family" entertainment. In his early youth, Tony spent most of his time playing baseball, the guitar, writing songs, drawing, reading, wandering through the woods, wading creekbeds, turning rocks to look for crawdads, and contemplating the universe.
After winning a True-Value Country Showdown in the tri-state area, Tony and his Dixie Flyer Band travelled extensively, playing close to three-hundred dates at fairs and festivals from 1993 to 1995. All the while, Tony was balancing his graduate school education with his rising popularity and the public demand for his versatile but still country voice.
In August of 1995, Tony had packed his U-Haul for Ada, Ohio, where he would have spent the next three years, after successfully defending his Master's thesis in English Literature at Marshall University, attending Ohio Northern Law School. But the last Friday of the month before Monday morning classes met, Tony received a phone call from Buddy Cannon (producer: Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Vern Gosdin, Sammy Kershaw) that would change everything. Tony and Buddy would work extensively together during his first few months in Nashville, but his writing career and uncompromising artistic sensibilties would steer him away from the world of major labels and place him where he says he is most happy, creating the kind of country music he loves--the kind that is all his own.
Tony has credits on songs recorded by Trisha Yearwood, Craig Morgan, Trent Tomlinson, Bucky Covington, John Michael Montgomery, Doug Stone, The Stephens Sisters, Johnny Bush, Kevin Denny, Clay Walker, George Strait, and many other artists out of Nashville. His own albums sell on Itunes.com, CDBaby, and two dozen other mp3 download sites across the world wide web. Since 2003, Tony has been touring in Texas (his new adoptive home away from home) during the summers, has an office on Music Row with Davis Music Group Nashville, contracts out to sing for other writers on the row who need a voice for their songs, has a house in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, where he lives with his wife, Debbie, and two children, Savannah and Logan.
